General Info:The ColecoVision is Coleco Industries' second generation home video game console and was released in August 1982. The ColecoVision offered arcade-quality graphics and gaming style, the ability to play Atari 2600 video games, and the means to expand the system's hardware. The ColecoVision was released with an initial catalog of 12 titles, with 10 additional titles on the way for 1982. Approximately 170 titles were released in the form of plug-in cartridges between 1982 and 1985. Enthusiasts are still making games for this system which shows how well loved it is. RH has played the Colecovision conversion of Donkey Kong and it is almost arcade perfect. This is arguably the best 2nd generation games console. We have a Colecovision at RH and it is slightly better than the Intellivision and miles better than the 2600.Its a must have 2nd Gen machine. Easy to come by in the US, harder to come by in the UK.
