Like the article. Well thought out.
I think its the lack of decent games effecting software sales. The big problem for me is the huge number of multi format ports. Boring Boring Boring.
I actually think the PS2 was the weakest last gen console for the quality of its hardware. The Cube and the Box were better. This time round the 360 is the weakest piece of hardware. It looks like a plastic box and it effs up regularly. I'm on my 3rd 360. The Wii is stylish and innovative (but underpowered of course). The PS3 is a quality bit of kit. It is a Rolls Royce to Microsoft's BMW.But saying that Gears of War is still my favorite Next gen moment.
Still when all is said and done all the consoles have already shifted enough units to make them viable.
I'll leave you with this though.............I had a Cube and the only AAA games were by Nintendo, same with the Wii. The PS3 and the 360 have the same games as each other on the whole. I just think that more and more of us will be switching on our SNES' and Dreamcasts to fight off the tedium.
Liked the article. It did get me thinking!!!!!!!!!!!

I do Enjoy my XBOX 360 but it looks like im on going to be onto my third one as now when i turn it on i get no picture on the screen.
But i do find myself playing an endless suplly of FPS which i do enjoy but are they inovative do they push the boundaries? No.
the same with racing games, i cant think of any 360 games that are any different from the last genereation of games.
The only inovation i see is the Nintendo Wii which has really pushed the boundaries of games for everyone, and to the same extent the PS3 which is Trying to push the boundaries of games for example huge storage blue ray discs, Home Service (if it ever comes) Sixaxis (not really used but it ok) playstation eye (i like the way Sony actually use there Camera for stuff not like Microsoft).
But on a final note the only system i own is a xbox 360 which im on all the time and no i would not trade it in for a Wii or a ps3.
