Saturn Dev
Development consoles are collectors items in their own right.
You can pick them up relatively cheaply considering their rarity.
The Dreamcast Dev machine (right) went for less than £200.00
on Ebay. The left hand console is a Saturn Dev machine.
Development machines are what games designers use to create console specific games. Enthusiasts carry on using some dev machines and still make games for otherwise long dead consoles.
There have been Dreamcast games published as late as 2007.
There was also a couple of 3DO games released in 2007.
These are published by small indie games makers.
