The Bandai Playdia was released in 1994 in Japan. It never came to the United States. The unit retailed for about 150 GBP. It was marketed mostly for children, as it had basic commands for very basic games. The games were mostly animated, with very little interaction. Popular games were from the Gundam, Sailor Moon, and Dragon Ball series, as these were Bandai products. The system used CD/Rom based media.
