Ok. Are you sitting comfortably, 'cos this is going to be uncomfortable reading.
It is going be particularly uncomfortable for those reading this who are planted
mainly in the 7th generation of consoles. Some of you reading this will be.
I myself thought that I would be sold on this generation. Investing large amounts
of my hard earnedearned,on on wave after wave of wonderful well thought out games.
How wrong I was.

Now I'm not going to bore you with what I own and have owned console wise.
If you want to see,have a look at my profile. The only things missing on that profilesprofile's
list of consoles are the X-Box (original) and the PS2 and I owned both of course.
But take a look at that list. That shows a few things. That I can talk about games with
real hands on knowledge and that I probably should have saved all that money
and paid off a large chunk of my mortgage.

Anyway I'm heading off course. So here is the meat of this piece.
Where are this generations f**king games?????

Look at the pictures above. They represent some of my most awe inspiring gaming
moments in gen 5 and 6. Look again though. Aren't they the same games that we are
playing now or waiting to play on our PS3's and 360's.
What has this gen given us? I'll tell you! A little bit of polish. Not much polish, just a little!

Now I'm playing GTA 4, don't get me wrong. I will play Silent Hill 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4 but
are these games gonna rock our worlds like Resi 2, Metal Gear Solid et al. The answer is "NO"!

You know it. I Known it.

So captains of the games industry, don't think you will get away with this forever.
Gamers will demand more and are already demanding more. Don't just think the future is online
and forget the content. We demand more. You need to make me feel as exited as I did when
Snake crawled out of the sea and hid behind that crate in MGS! So far you are miles off.
