General Info:

The first inexpensive home computer retailing at $300.00. The VIC was sonamed because of it's Video Interface Chip. The chip was designed for a games machine that Commodore thought would be best put to use in a home computer.
It sold well being the first computer to sell over 1 Million units.
Games were available in cart and cassette formats. The Vic 20 was soon replaced by the Commodore 64.
